Event: "InterChambers Gala Dinner 2011"
The event at the Nouveau Centre de Conferences in Kirchberg attracted 380 guests.
Robert Deed, chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg introduced the Crown Prince, recognising his contribution to helping promote Luxembourg abroad on various trade missions.
The Crown Prince for his part acknowledged the importance of Luxembourg’s international business community as a driving force of the economy, citing the international roots of companies such as Cargolux and SES--founded with Icelandic and American expertise--and the innovation and influential global reach that foreigners bring to the Grand Duchy. But he also emphasized the openness of Luxembourg and of the government in welcoming business from abroad.
Director of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Pierre Gramegna, delivered a speech of thanks in which he praised the work of Crown Prince and of the volunteers and staff of the international chambers in building bridges between the Luxembourg and international business community.
The ten international Chambers of Commerce in Luxembourg come again to support the work of the Foundation of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess with a donation of 4,000 euros. This gift is the benefit of the gala dinner attended by HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke November 29, 2011 at the new conference center at Kirchberg.
